Securify, the Amsterdam security company that focuses on pen testing, agile security testing and red teaming, has appointed Kees Stammes as Managing Director of the offensive unit within Securify as of June 1, 2021. Stammes takes over from co-founder Sahin, who has fulfilled this role independently over the past year.
Sahin will remain involved in the background as a strategic advisor in the further development of the offensive services portfolio and will thus be given the space to devote more time to Threat Fabric, the other company founded by the founders of Securify. Former co-director David Vaartjes started to focus full time last year on setting up the new defensive branch within Securify.
Stammes studied information science at the University of Amsterdam and started his career in 2017 as Project Manager at Securify. Thanks to his technical and security knowledge, he was able to connect technology and business and grew quickly as Director of Operations. As Managing Director within the offensive unit, he has become jointly responsible for the further growth of the Amsterdam security company through innovation, increased scalability and broadening the service portfolio.
